Intermediator
Forum 2020
October 24, Saturday
Tokyo / Toriizaka & remote environment
An "intermediate" who plays an important role in the formation of a diversified society and commons, not in standardization and generalization. Things and people that mediate different domains and frameworks in various dimensions and encourage dialogue and collaboration. We are the ones who create new equilibrium, demand, and future by utilizing both sides from "between". The 4th Forum will be held at the International House of Japan in Toriizaka.

WELCOME to IMF
◉ The human community, including business, is established within the “net of relationships”. In particular, collaboration between humans, machines, and nature is an important issue common to all humankind.
◉ That's why we need things and people to stand in the “between” and repair, regenerate, and recreate a few of the links that have been destroyed, damaged, and lost. The mediator who plays the role of "knowledge between " is called "intermediator". It's the type that's hard to see for anyone looking for a “strong leader” who wants to stand on or in front of someone.
◉ However, when new demand is created and society and history begin to move, there are those who mediate different areas and those who promote "dialogue and collaboration" while fully recognizing each other's differences. And the equilibrium was born. It is an increasingly important task for tomorrow's worldmaking.
◉ On the day of the event, we will introduce you to the future role of "intermediate" and the new reality that they are currently creating through keynotes, practices, and dialogues. It is a new area of life where business, public and common overlap.
We would like to invite people who aim to improve the quality of life of people and create more desirable Business, Society, and Planet.
